Bubs & Gracie's Ice Cream and Cookies was born from love, resilience, and a deep connection to community. Founded by Marsha and Emmanuel Gayot during the pandemic, this family-run shop transformed a South Side barbershop into a haven of unique ice cream flavors inspired by their heritage and the diverse backgrounds of their Chesterfield neighbors.
Marsha, the chief flavor creator, draws on her Jamaican roots to craft flavors like Guinness caramel and rum raisin, while Emmanuel's Haitian background inspired cremas ice cream, spiced with star anise and cinnamon. They also celebrate the cultures around them with creations like ube and kulfi ice cream. Their wackiest offering? Ketchup on Everything (KOE), a one-of-a-kind soft serve inspired by their son Bubs.
Named after their two special-needs children, Bubs and Gracie, the shop has been serving
"family" since 2022. Every scoop is handmade with whole, simple ingredients, and vegan options ensure everyone can enjoy a treat.
Known for their warmth and creativity, the Gayots have built a space where customers feel at home, turning a love for ice cream into a dream of going national. At Bubs & Gracie's, ice cream isn't just a dessert-it's a story, a memory, and a way to bring people together
Our ice cream is churned in small batches using traditional methods, ensuring a rich and creamy texture. We also offer a variety of toppings and mix-ins to make your ice cream experience even more delicious.
